Sorry about that this part is supposed to be attached to my previous log entry, but silly me accidently pressed the add diary entry button.

Anyways, I feel that this game and its success is really based on the competive drive of the player. I mean the whole purpose of the game is to kil off or beat your opponent and that only remains interesting to the player if and only if the players are of a competive nature. Each refusing to be the one called loser so they all play on trying to win the round and the ones that follows. It is a really simple but effective way of keeping players coming back and wanting more.

The levels in Super Smash Brothers are similar but not alike. All the levels share the same idea, give the characters and area to fight with certain sections where the characters can fall to their demise. However, each level does have their own background and achritectural difference and custom fighting conditions such wind blow or lava rising to give raise the difficulty level. Overall I think that this game is one of the best for N64 the graphics really cant get any better and the fun factor is up their with any other top N64 classics.

    Game Entry #2

Ok so after playing this game a little longer with my buddies, I started to notice some small aspects that could be fixed. At first these things did not bother me much, but after a while it really started to irritae me. For instance the limited character selections. When I first started I did not mind that there were only twelve characters to choose from, I believed it to be plenty, but after a while and after I have played with all of them at least three times they all started to look to the same to me. I feel that inord for this game to be truly successfull the game makers really need to incorporate more characters to choose from.

What start to be a really fun event that provided an opportunity for socialising quickly became a drag. My friends and I were sick of playing this game after around two hours of playing it. Its still a good game and im sure it will be really fun again if given about a week break. This game has to be played with the right people otherwise it can become a real drag to play.

    Game Play(2)

I am so happy that I have bought this game it has not fallen short of any of my ecpextations. In fact, this video game has exceeded all of my expectations. In the 2007 version of NBA LIVE the game makers added a new feature called Total Freestyle Control. This feature honestly allows me to have complete control on how I want my players to play.

Although in the previous NBA LIVE the controls are roughly the same, but they never offerd you the ability to choose how the you want to control the basketball players juke moves. It use to be just one button for example the x button to perform a juke. But now it is a whole new world, they incorporated the use of the joysticks to perform all sorts of possible combinations for different jukes.

    Design
Overall I think the design of the game is pretty darn good, granted that they did have years to modify and enhance it, since they are basically receiving positive and negative feedbacks of last years product and then revising and improving the game to produce a better gameplaying experience.

Now im not saying this game is perfect, I have found a couple of flaws in this game that bug me. The first of which is what I call "glitch plays" which is common among sports games. Glitch plays basically means that there was an error in the making of the game that leaves the AI players little to no posssibility of stopping the user from scoring when using a specific play or series of moves.

Besides glitch plays and the rather limited difficulty setting for this game the other aspects of the design of the game is just great.

    - When played in a 2 player mode this game can provide a good bonding experience between friends. The competitive spirit among friends makes the game more interesting and for people who like to talk trash excitement can also be made in the conversations formed during the course of the game.

    - Like all sports games in your a true fanatic of the sport it will never grow old on you. You may temporarily stop playing it, but eventually you will come back to it.
