Game Entry #2
Gameplay
This game is great for hockey fans and to play two player, against or on the same team, with another person. It’s easy to reenact your favorite hockey teams and players. All the trash talking that is done in the NHL can be talked or brought up while playing this game. The most frustrating part of this game is being faked out or pressing block to soon because your player dives on the ground and the opponent gets a break away. The best part is scoring because it takes some skill to quickly pass and get a shot off.
Design
This game is played inside a hockey arena and there are different camera angles to choose from. My favorite one is facing up; where the camera is behind the player and moving up the screen to score and down to defend the goal. Just like sports on TV whenever a team scores a goal or a player does an outstanding play, there is a replay of the highlight. These are fun to watch after scoring or at the end of each period. Controlling the puck is something the player can really do by moving the sticks of the hockey players, this way they can fake or avoid having the puck stolen. There are wrist shots which are good for up close shooting, but for farther shots you can do a slap shot which is a hard shot for the goalie to block.

Game Entry #1
Summary
The goal of this game is to use your team of players including a goal tender to score a hockey puck in the goal of the opponent’s team. The person with the most goals at the end of the three periods wins. If the score is tied at the end of three rounds, meaning both teams have the same amount of goals, then the teams play in a short over time period. Whoever scores first in the overtime period wins the game. Otherwise, the game continues in a shootout, where teams’ players take turns shooting at the goal tender until one team eventually outscores the other.
Gameplay
This game is fun because it requires players to think quickly about how to make it passed the defenders and score goals. The players can do fakes before shooting the puck in order to trick the goalie. On defense it is fun to check people and push them into walls. However, if you do something the referee might give a penalty which means a player has to sit out for a little while. During this time the other team has an advantage by having more people. It’s frustrating like in any sport when the referees slow down the game by making penalty, offside, or icing calls.

Gamelog Entry #2
GAMEPLAY
Just as soon as I think I'm getting good at this game, the game becomes more difficult. I got better at rolling and then jumping which makes the monkey leap further and is necessary to get further in the game. It is interesting to see the different backgrounds for the levels. While going through each stage, it's fun to try and earn extra lives by collecting 100 bananas, bundles are worth 10 bananas. Some of the levels were really hard and took me numerous tries to complete.
DESIGN
The graphics are good for a 2D Super Nintendo game and each level has different backgrounds. The villains I fight along the way change each stage and move and shoot, which makes it hard to get passed them. It is frustrating when there are so many obstacles and such little room for mistakes. The bonus rounds are fun and change from destroying all the bad guys to collecting all the stars. The controls involve a lot of jumping, climbing, walking, and running. It is easy to bump into something or make a mistake, even for my friend who has more experience with the game. If I could change the game I would add more bananas and those special boxes which make the player invincible for awhile.

SUMMARY
In Donkey Kong Country 2 the player controls Diddy and Dixie, two monkeys that go on a quest to rescue Donkey Kong from the villain K. Rool. The game starts out on a pirate ship before travelling to K. Rool's island called Crocodile Isle. The objectives of the game are to make it to the end of the levels with at least one of the monkeys, defeat the bosses at the end of each world, and to rescue Donkey Kong.
GAMEPLAY
I enjoyed taking time out to play this game that I wanted, but never owned, as a child. The game is fun because I can destroy bad guys by jumping on them or throwing barrels at them. There are animal friends such as a rhino and snake, which are fun to control because they have different strengths which help with the obstacles in the levels. Other times the game was less fun, like some parts were troublesome and took playing over and over in order to pass.
However, the game was interesting because it's filled with surprises like bonus boxes which have little games in them that if completed earn gold coins which can be used to save the game or to buy transportation. This gave me something to look out for while going through levels. Also, as you get further in the game different animal buddies come around like a swordfish, a snake, a spider, and even a parrot helps out.
This game is two player which makes it fun to play with a friend. One person controls Diddy and the other controls the girl, who does a spin move when she jumps which makes her stay in the air longer. It's possible to switch roles standing, so players can switch off at many points or the other takes over when one dies.
