Game Log Entry #2:
Game Play:
The second time I played I had a better understanding of the game and its techniques so it was much more fun to play. Once I got the hang of the game I couldn’t stop playing. I really enjoyed this game it’s much more fun when played with a friend than by yourself. I liked playing with a friend because its much more challenging and competitive. I like competing with someone besides the computer.
The experience was interesting and fun. I liked receiving both the rewards of glory and of sustenance. The rewards of sustenance helps the player advance and it gives the player the ability to win. I liked that the player could choose from a variety of racing tracks. All the racing tracks were fun to race on.
Design:
I thought the design of the race tracks were very well thought out and created. I liked the themes of each one and the obstacles that each one portrayed. There were some where the player had to race in the snow, sewer, under water tunnel, desert, or up on a high leveled ground. I liked the one that was up in the clouds. It was challenging when turning because you had to go slow or you can fall off and keep you behind in the race.
Each level had obstacles the sewer level had big logs that would go back and fourth and the player has to get trough without getting smashed. One of the other levels had carnivorous
plants and if the player got to close to the plant it would chew them up and spit them back out. There was one race track that had fire and lava. The player had to get to the other side without getting burned. These are only a few of the many obstacles each level had.
I think that by adding these obstacles to the levels it creates conflict which makes the game challenging. I like challenge when playing a game it makes the game much more fun and enjoyable. This game has a pleasurable experience that keeps the player engaged. Also by having the rewards of glory and sustenance it keeps the player going.

Summary:
In Crash Team Racing there are many racers and it’s either a one player or a two player that race against each other and the computer. The goal of the game is to get to the finish line before the other racers without staying behind. There are rewards of sustenance and glory. There are a set of four boxes that the racers can get and they each contain something different. Some give the player TNT boxes they can leave behind for the other racers to go through it which will keep them from progressing. The boxes also contain other resources that will make the racer go faster therefore advance and even win the race.
Game Log Entry #1:
Game Play:
The first time I played Crash it was difficult for me to control the racer and to keep the racer out of TNT boxes or any other trouble. I tried wining, but I couldn’t keep up with the other players. When I played this game I played with another person which knew how to play so I tried learning from them. One of the tracks had a secret short cut where the players would go through and would advance in the game. I learned how to open the short cut which helped me to get closer to the finish line.
I liked racing the other players. It was interesting to learn the different techniques the player can do to get closer and closer to the finish line. I liked learning from the other player what you can do and how to get out of a certain situation. I learned to get out of a TNT box so it won’t explode on the racer. Once I learned these things I was able to play better.

Game Log Entry #2:
Gameplay:
The second time I played this with my friend it was less frustrating, but I rather play this game by myself with the computer. I didn’t really like this level of the game I think I probably would have liked one of the other levels instead of the battle field level. I got bored because I didn’t think it was that challenging. I personally didn’t like this level very much. I think it would have been better if it were more complicated not too much, but a little more challenge would have made this level more interesting for me.
I did get interact with others. I got to interact with the other player to try to figure out the game and the rules. We both tried to figure out what each button on the control did. Neither of us had played this game before, so we got to figure out how we were suppose to fight each other and what buttons to press. I think it’s more fun when you play with others, but I think it also depends on the game.
Design:
The design of this game was creative. I did like how there were ways to get from the ground to the top level where the watermelons were. There were platforms on the ground and when the player stands on it they press Z on their control and it takes u directly to the top to get the watermelons. I think that there should have been more of an open area to fight. When I tried fighting with my opponent it was hard to find her because there were many places were she could be.
There were noises of people booing and shouting, but there wasn’t anybody around. These sound effects were part of the game and they would occur when the players would be fighting each other. After awhile this got a little annoying because I didn’t see anyone there I just heard the noise and it was very repetitive. I would have made some changes to this game. I would have made the game a little bit more challenging, the battle field more open and I would have added a visible audience.
The conflicts that I thought existed was the fact that there were many places were the player can go which just makes the game long and after awhile boring. Also the many chances the player has to live and restore their lives. I like that there were rewards to collect because that mostly always keeps the player going if there weren’t any rewards the player might loose interest.

Summary:
In Donkey Kong there is various levels to choose from. One can play with more then one player. The level I decided to play with my friend was Kings battlefield. My friend and I had to battle each other we both get three lives and there are watermelons that give the player more life. The basic goal is to stay alive and defeat the other player.
Game Log Entry #1:
Gameplay:
While playing this game I was frustrated and confused. I was frustrated because the other player kept leaving the battle field and avoiding the battle. It just took long to try to kill the other player because there was a way to restore life and it just prolonged the game. The characters were interesting because of the different methods each one had of fighting like the girl that fought with her hair, the monkeys that swaged their tails, the others threw punches and there were many more that had different ways of fighting. I liked the characters and their different ways of fighting.
This game was confusing at first because at the first battle field we chose there were some sort of monsters that came out of no where. The other player and I both tried to defeat the monster without falling off. We decided to change the battle field and when we were there we waited for the monsters to come out, but then we realized that we had to fight each other. There were tricks we figured out on our own without reading the rules or instructions. We figured out how to get to the top part of the game where the watermelons were to restore our lives.
