    Feb 9th, 2008 at 02:41:37     -    Burnout 3: Takedown (PS2)

    Gameplay:
What I noticed most while playing my second hour of Burnout 3 was an annoying amount of unrealistic racing. I noticed that when I was playing against a computer racer the computer racer would always catch up quickly no matter how far back it was and how bad its car was but if I fell behind it was lost.
Although this type of game play is exciting because it forces you to defend the number one spot it is also tiresome if set to challenging. There was no real story or narrative to the game in fact I even had trouble getting used to navigating the game face.

    Design:
The design of the game is conflict. Create as much damage as you can in as short of a period as you can. Total everyone’s car around you to earn extra boost is a main objective which becomes intense and addicting at points. Playing with other people can be fun as well as watching other people crash or total cars.

    Feb 9th, 2008 at 01:35:40     -    Burnout 3: Takedown (PS2)

    Summary:
Burnout 3: Takedown is a great racing game for PS2. It is not similar to older racing games like gt3 but instead focuses on short lap races, crash modes, and takedown races. It has a great selection of cars to unlock and its system of "reward of access" when you rank on a race is convenient.

    Gameplay:
My emotional reaction to this game had a very light tone. I was very amused by the different types of race challenges they came up with and my mood differed depending on the challenge I was playing. When I played the takedown race I instantly became competitive and had a tad of road rage while in crash mode I was jolly and having fun crashing into as much as I could.
The cars in the game were super cool and it was awesome to start unlocking cars from the get go. The different divisions the cars were put into made it awesome so that the player could focus on a certain series of races until they wanted to move on. The flow of the game was good. There were always enough race events to choose from at any point and although gold medals seemed impossible on a couple of races I attempted.

    Jan 26th, 2008 at 02:31:12     -    Wii Sports (Wii)

    GAMEPLAY
My second experience with Wii sports was not as rewarding as the first time I played. This was because primarily because I tried playing the game for an hour by myself. The game was so straight forward that I was often distracted and my mood was not as lighthearted as before.
Although it was not as fun to play alone the game play was excellent. There was no lag or waiting for the most part. Unlocking new fitness tests was a fun activitie to play alone on Wii sports.

    DESIGN
The design on Wii sports is incredibly clean and sporty like everything from Wii. The White backgrounds, streaked with trendy bright banners of color, add an organized yet youthful look to the game. Its organized approach is good because of the five different sports simulations.
The space used in the game is completely controlled. The only control you have is over your characters body and a ball. It also does not include levels seeing as it only contains 5 simulations.

    Jan 25th, 2008 at 21:38:38     -    Wii Sports (Wii)

    SUMMARY
Wii Sports is a 'pack-in' game for the Wii console. It includes 5 sports simulations such as baseball, tennis, golf, bowling and boxing. It was made to demonstrate the wireless capabilities of the new Wii controller.

    GAMEPLAY
Wii Sports is a fun game to play. I found my emotional state was quite light and humerous making it a great game to play with friends. Right off the bat I had fun with the game play option of a 'fitness test' which, depending on how I played, guessed my age.
The characters in Wii sports were excellent and added to the humeroius side of the game. Creating a character or a 'Mii' is incredibly easy and I found I was able to make my Wii have an uncanny resemblence towards myself.
The game flow is good if there are too many people to play all at once because quick games can be played. Also, because Wii is so interactive it is fun to watch people playing.
