Game Log #2
Game Play:
After playing the game for several hours, it occurred to me that it is very easy to learn special attacks. In addition, the graphical elements give the game a magna type feeling. However, the cutsences for the special attacks can slow down the pace of fighting. Another primary asset to Naruto is the hyperkinetic fight sequences between the charged ninjas. This type of fighting sequence is important to the game and the actual anime series. Some of the commands in the game use a single button to perform high power combos.
One other element in the game that is enjoyable and different from the first game is the way in which the characters utilize their chakra. Before, increasing in power was done by a series of button presses, which means you have to be good a pressing button fast before your opponent can. The new power up uses the series of button presses and rapid spin which is perform with the analog sticks. When this is done, a meter will appear and show who is currently winning in power. In addition, depending on what chakra level a character is at, more damage will be inflicted and more chakra level attacks are performed.
Design:
From the first Game Log, the primary design is to have the entire game rendered in 3D. The graphical elements look awesome and are more enjoyable to see when characters perform special attacks. Although, the characters only move in a back and forward motion, the characters still have the option to move between foregrounds to obtain assistance items or increase their chakra level to inflict more damage on their opponent.
Summary:
Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2 is a great action 3-D fighting game for Naurto Fans. It is very exciting and the story mode and game play is great. I recommend Naruto Fans to get the third Naruto Ultimate Ninja game. However, this will not be released until sometime in late March of 2008.

Game Log # 1
Summary:
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2 is 3-D fighting game based on the popular magna and anime series Naruto. The primary character is Naruto Uzumaki, who is a hyperactive and unpredictable adolescent Ninja who constantly seeks for recognition (especially by Sasuke) and aspires to be Hokage. A Hokage is an individual who is considered to be a leader and the strongest person within the Leaf Village.
Gameplay:
Naruto is a two player game where the player’s controls one of the characters and the other character is the computer or another human player. The goal of the game is very simple. The objective is to reduce the other opponent health to zero. However, it is not as easy as it sounds. Since this game is the second Naruto Ninja game produced, there have been some changes compared to the first one. In the second game, there are a vast amount of weapons that are available to the characters as the battle progresses such as healing options. This allows the characters not be solely depended on their Ninja abilities because it takes a lot of chakra (energy) to perform a particular ninjutsu.
Game Design:
One design feature that is very enjoyable is everything is in rendered in 3D. Since this is a fighting game, the characters will only move back and forth across the screen in a 2D plane. However, you can also use certain buttons to move between foregrounds.
Game Story:
The real story begins at the Ninja Academy where the students are split up into four squads after their graduation and become a Genin (Rookie Ninja). Each squad is assigned an experienced sensei. These core squads form a basis for the characters’ interactions later in the game, where characters are chosen for missions for their team's strength and complementary skills.
Cutscenes:
There are many cutscenes in the story mode of this game and it is enjoy able because it resembles the actual story in the anime series. However, there are a few small differences that were noticed. Overall, the story mode was excellent.
