GTA: San Andreas. The Missions
Horrible. Ok ok, I should probably say why. Once again the camera was a problem, getting in my way, not doing what I wanted or just plan not giving me enough information. I had to run around in circles for most of the missions and on one in particular I found it a huge problem that I couldn't even find what I was trying to do. Cops were shooting at me, sirens were blazing and I had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to do. VERY UNHELPFUL.
I also didn't like how the missions were so gangster. Someone held up a pizza joint while my mission was to eat some pizza. I found myself wondering why I should care about pizza when what I want is to shoot stuff. Or getting a new haircut. I understand they want you to customize your character but it seemed tacted on and not really needed.

My opinion of GTA: San Andreas was slightly tainted before I even started playing. I had heard a lot about the game and I was expecting a lot out of it. I had played almost all the GTA games before San Andreas, such as Vice City and GTA 3, and to me those were great games. I even played the newest installment, GTA 4, before I had a chance to try San Andreas.
That being said I was very very disappointed. My initial reaction was one of disgust at how hard it was to make out anything about the game. The map was bad and unhelpful, the models seemed ok but Vice City had better, and the controls were bad. Really bad.
I don't know why they decided to change these things and try to go for a more realistic feel. To me it was a horrible attempt.
We'll have to see how the missions go later on.
