Tennis and baseball is quite straight forward with their controls. Just swing the remote as if it was a tennis racket or baseball bat. Pitching in Wii baseball is awesome for there are different buttons for different ball movements. There are four types of ball movements: screwball, curve ball, splitter, and fast ball. Baseball in Wii isn't as complicated in real life or any other baseball video games because there are individual computer characters in the game to help catch the balls flying in the field. So, there wouldn't be any stress over trying to make your character run after the ball and throw it to the plates.
In Wii bowling, the movement of the ball is based on the movement of the controller. If the remote is curved even just a little while you release the buttons for throwing the ball, the ball will roll down the lane and curve to towards the direction the remote was turned. I think controlling the ball in the game is very realistic because it's difficult to throw a real bowling ball straight down the lane and knock down all the pins.
I haven't done much Wii boxing, so I can't really elaborate on that. All I could say is that it's difficult for me to learn how to control my movements.
My least favorite Wii sport would be golf because I don't really have much control on my swing. I would be swinging my remote, but I wouldn't be able to hit the ball (I'm pressing 'A' also). It's also hard for me to determine how hard my swing would be. The game might be better if the swing-strength bar is visible the whole time instead of after you have swung club.
Overall, Wii Sports is a really fun game to play. However everything is very simple graphics wise. Smooth 3D, but nothing to be 'wow' about. All I really want is to smell the fresh green grass in the field or feel a nice breeze pass by now and then. Maybe video games will become a virtual reality in the future like we all have been anxiously dreaming about. But for now, I could just resort to playing Wii Sports outside.

Well, I finally got a Wii with my free game of Wii Sports. Wii Sports is a great game especially played with the unique Wii remote and nunchuck. This game is intended for all audiences. The disk contains a collection of tennis, baseball, bowling, golf, and boxing games. I've played through all of them, but my favorites are tennis, bowling, and baseball.
What makes this game so realistic and fun are the remote and nunchuck; without them, I wouldn't be sweating and taking breaks. My arms get sore after a while from my lack of exercise or stretching. Whichever the case, it means that I'm not as fit as I should be. At least, I don't have to run after the ball, or I'd die from exhaustion.
The controls are simple to learn since they are supposed to imitate the movements of sports. However, there are some limited aspects of the game. Most of the games consists of swinging movements. In baseball, the game only consists of batting and pitching. These aren't really negative aspects because the overall game is still exciting and fun. Some people might even substitute outdoor sports play for Wii sports.
What's super annoying though is the high volume of the remote. There is no way to turn the sound down! It's difficult to play in the middle of the night when someone is sleeping in the same room.
Anyway, back to playing the game.
