After twenty hours of play I think I'm going to bury this one away. It became boring mostly because of all of the leveling involved trying to get money and liscenses. Also there is so much running around because the world is so expansive. The plot never really grabbed at me too much either. The game did introduce a lot of new cool things to the final fantasy series but I feel the world was too big. The fighting system was cool but the old battle system was never really that flawed and I feel there was no need to change it. Also the game is so long it never really feels like you ever make any progress. Each mission also takes at least a few hours which can be exhausting as well. Anyway it was a good effort but I feel the game just lacks in certain areas where other final fantasy's excelled.

This game starts off great with you being right in the middle of the action. The storyline is a little hard to grasp right off the start but after awhile you begin to figure it out. The controls are easy to use. It does seem that this final fantasy is similar to FF XI only because you really only need to control one person. It is true that you can explicitly control every character but the gambit system makes it so much easier on you. I will say the liscense system is a little annoying especially since you need certain liscenses for equipment. This does add a different element to the game where you must plan your characters a little more. Pretty much after the first the ten levels of your character you better have a character type for him. It is fun though to have to make a person made for magic using or having a gun character or a bow character. Anyway the cut scenes are amazing even with the next gen consoles out. The new fighting system is great but I don't feel like it is as revolutionary as everyone says. If you don't remember secret of mana was similar except there wasn't a wait bar which does add certain elements of the game making it a little more hard.
