SUMMARY:
Katamari Damacy is a game where you roll a sticky ball around and pick up just about anything to make your ball bigger. The bigger the ball, the better, and the point is to make it as big as possible.
GAMEPLAY:
I first saw this game on the internet not too long ago and I found it really interesting and put it on my "video games to play" list. Fortunately, it was on this video game classics list and I was able to play it!
I was not disappointed by this game, in fact, it was better than I thought it would be. It's creative design and whimsical humor I found really interesting. Just rolling a ball around wouldn't sound like much fun but it actually is. The player picks up whatever it can find, from thumbtacks to people to bridges, making the ball bigger and better. This game flows nicely because your ball gets continually bigger and there's always a new mission for you to tackle.
There are really only two characters and they are bot pretty funny and ridiculous, especially the king who speaks through the sound of scratchings from a turntable, and keeps shooting out a "rainbow beam" to take his son back into space. I was laughing at times from the dialogue too, which reminds me of something I might write.
