Gamelog #2
GAMEPLAY: For my second game session I was able to play this game using the multiplayer interface. This allowed me to actually play against other people. This added many new challenges, and was much more interesting because I was no longer playing against AI. The multiplayer allowed me to pick any character I want (my opponents could do the same) then I was allowed to choose any of the levels that I wanted. The multiplayer also added a new twist by adding items that appear on the level at random. These items, from other Nintendo games, add new ways to damage my opponents, or allow me to heal myself.
DESIGN: Super smash bros uses 3D characters to fight in a 2D world. There was no storyline, only a simple melee. I was impressed at the variety of moves that each character could make, and how unique each move was is specific character and how they existed in previous Nintendo games. The multiplayer setting was the best part of this game allowing me to test my skills against other players, and kept the game interesting every time I polayed.

Gamelog # 1
SUMMARY:
Super Smash Brothers is a 3D fighting game where one can pick from various Nintendo characters. These characters are put into new 3D worlds where players can only move left, right, and can jump or fall from various platforms throughout the level. These characters use different fighting moves based on what those characters did in their previous Nintendo games, and fight each other using these moves. The point of the game is to knock enemy players off these platform like levels causing them to loose a life.
GAMEPLAY:
For my first game trial I decided to use the tutorial, and learned a few basic moves that are universal to all the characters. After completing this I decided to try and complete the player vs. computer setting, where I had to use my character to fight and defeat all of the other characters in their own individual levels. Each players health is represented by a percent, as players take more damage their percent rises making future attacks more damaging. The higher the percent of a players health the more susceptible they are to future attacks and the farther their character fly’s after falling victim to a powerful attack.
