Gameplay#2
While I was playing for the second time I didn’t feel as excited because I had already played it and I knew how the game went. When I first played the game I was excited but after I played it once again it was like ok I can continue and try to get a better score. The second time was a bit more competitive because I wanted to improve my score.
The game didn’t really have a story to it. All the characters had to do was race against each other. Although the game didn’t have a story line it was still fun to play. I liked going and trying different tracks. There were some that I really liked and others that I didn’t. The one track I didn’t like was the one with ice. I guess I didn’t like it because of the snowman that I always forgot about and could never avoid them in time.
Design
The game design elements that made this a good game were the obstacles that the track had. Like in the snow track they had snowmen that the player wasn’t suppose crash into. If the player did I would slow him or her down and they would lose the spot they had. In the beach track there were trees and crabs. In the highway track they had cars and other vehicles.
The levels in the game varied by 50cc being the lowest 100cc being the medium level and 150 being the highest. I only tried the 50cc since before today I hadn’t played the game. The game keeps the player interested because it is competitive and you want to be number one every time you race. And when the player is just racing by themselves they want to improve their time so that when they play with other opponents they have a better change at winning.
This game does foster social interaction with other players because the game is a multiplayer game. I believe it can have up to four players playing the same game. The players compete against each other for first place. I was playing by myself against the computer and I was making comments and I’m sure that the game would have been more interesting if I was playing with someone else and they were giving commentary too.

Summary
The game I chose to play was Mario kart for Nintendo 64. In this video game the player chooses a character for example Yoshi. They player has to go around the race track trying to beat the other characters, that are either played by another player or the computer. The goal of the game is to come in first place. Throughout the race track there are obstacles in the way for example other vehicles.
Gameplay
When I first began to play the game I was a bit excited because I had not played the game before. At first I didn’t like the game that much because I could not control it but once I got the hang of it I was really enjoying the game. I tried several tracks and the one I liked the best was the track that was on the beach. I liked because it didn’t have a lot of obstacles.
I only played with one of the characters although next time I play I will try another character. There were several players which to choose from. The characters in the game included Donkey Kong, Peach, Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and some other characters. I like the many character options the player had to choose from.
This game was very entertaining. It was not hard to get the basic concept of the game. Although there were short cuts to take in the track I was unable to get to it. The fact that it was a bit difficult for me to try and use the shortcut was what made me want to play it more because I wanted to be able to use the short cut. It was fun to race against other players after I had practiced I few times.
While I was playing the game my attention was on the game the whole time. I would be talking to bystanders but I would be looking at the television. While I was playing the game I was saying comments about the game out loud. It was funny to hear random comments being thrown out. I would say things like “who put that tree there?” and “no, no, no not that way,” as if the game could hear me.
