SUMMARY:
Prince of Persia is a puzzle/adventure game where you control the prince of Persia. You go through dungeons with just an hour to beat the whole game, and rescue the princess of course.
GAMEPLAY:
When I first started this game, I thought it was pretty ridiculous. At the beginning, the prince gets thrown down some stairs into a dungeon for some unexplained reason where several deathtraps await him. Apparently, he has to save the princess. The first thing I noticed was the time limit, it said "60 Minutes Remaining", telling me I had 60 minutes left for this game. Well, I thought I had 60 minutes left for this particular level, so I took my time.
I died many tmes, which angered and frustrated me. I got killed so many times, I wanted to give up, but for some reason, I still found it fun kind of. When I got the sword to kill the guard, I was really pumped to keep playing, and so I did. I think it was this reward system that kept me going from the start, because you have to find the sword to kill the guard, which I found cool.
This was also the type of game that let me talk to other players as I play, although it was just a one player game. Bystanders looked on in awe as I played on, until I got to the second level which ended my first 45 minutes of gameplay.
