GAMEPLAY #2
The second hour of playing this game was just as fun as the first. This game just does not get boring. The races got harder so I had to try them a couple times, but it was never frustrating. The new worlds were more fun and finding the secret world was exciting.
I played with other people too during the second hour. The battle levels were really fun to play with people. We played them over and over and it was always a different outcome. Basically this game never got boring to play.
DESIGN
For an N64 game, I would say that the graphic design to this game is really impressive. Everything flowed smoothly and there weren't any glitches. Even in the multiplayer aspect, the screens weren't blurry. The design of this game was really colorful and vibrant. And since there are so many different worlds, they all looked different and had something special about them. Each level had a different flow to it. You could either focus on getting the boosts or you could focus on getting bananas and balloons. The power ups in this game are really fun and you always have a choice of what you want unlike Mario Kart. If you needed a boost, you go for three blue balloons or if you needed to slow someone down you could get the homing missile. I like this because I like having the choice of what I want to do.
This game keeps the player interested because the levels get harder and they change so much. There are also short cuts you can find. The area you start out in is kind of cool because you can explore it. That is what amazed me when I was little. I thought it was so cool that I could fly around and explore something. For some reason when I was little I could always find cool new things. Whether it was doing tricks in the plane or jumping up a waterfall in the hovercraft, I was always entertained. I can't even think of anything that is frustrating about this game. The other thing that amazed me about this game was that it actually had cut scenes. When you got a key or won some race, there was always a cut scene. This was the first N64 game that I had played that had cut scenes.
Diddy Kong Racing is a really solid and fun game to play by yourself or with other people.

SUMMARY
Diddy Kong Racing is a simple game where you go through a fantasy world as a character of your choice. The objective of the game is to rid the land of Wizpig, the tyrannical pig who has taken over. You go through different worlds that get harder as you progress and you have three vehicles to choose from, car, hovercraft, and plane. At the end of each world, there is a boss to beat.
GAMEPLAY #1
You start this game out in a small comfortable fantasy land. You are greeted by a big blue elephant genie. He explains what is going on in the world and why he needs your help. You can drive around the world and explore but sometimes you need a plane or hovercraft to get into certain worlds. I really like how there is an actual story behind this game and there is a world to explore. You have a choice over which race you want to do. The only thing barring you from a certain race would be the amount of balloons you need to qualify for that race. You get balloons by winning races, beating bosses, and finding them around the world.
After going through all the races in one world, you race against the boss and then after beating them, you have to do all the races over again and collect silver coins while still racing. You must get every silver coin and get first place. Then you race the boss again. This may seem repetitive but it actually is really challenging and fun. The sound track to this game is great and the visual ambiance is pleasing. There is still more within one world though. There is a trophy race which is like grand prix. Then there is a locked door and the only way to open it is to find a key in one of the races in that world. Once you find that key, you compete in a different kind of race. There are races to collect items, and races where you battle each other.
This game is really fun to play. Some races get frustrating, but there is so much other stuff to do that you never get stuck on one thing without having the ability to win some other race. You have a choice between different kid friendly animals. There are some characters I recognized like Diddy Kong obviously, and Banjo. I love the story of this game. It's simple but it keeps you engaged. It's not mindless racing, you are racing for a reason. This game is just really light hearted and fun to play and watch. Someone who was watching me play actually said that is was pleasing for him to watch me and even exciting.
