The third time I played, I found out that the character’s actions could be applied to the utilitarian theory in that his actions are immoral because even though the character is happy because he is doing what he needs to do to get things like money, it still affects the civilians in the game in a way that is more negative than positive. For example, when you steal someone’s car, you assault, them and steal their property. Then while driving it, you may run into other cars and people, hurting innocents destroying property. Also, the weapons you can use on others may get you what you want, but it hurts others if they get killed, so the overall net happiness of the people affected is negative and that makes the actions immoral.
