While playing Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, I did think it was quite violent. Many shootings and car stealings took place. The same thing happens throughout the game so there doesn't seem to be variation. In a way, it takes you away to a world where it's ok to shoot people because it's a video game. In order to survive, you have to kill others. Of course this wouldn't be right in the real world.
I don't play video games much but I wasn't surprised to see all the violence. It is just a video game and not something to be taken seriously. Although, I did notice stereotypes in the game. Even though it is just a game, it just goes to show you how people portray others and how the world isn't really changing.
