When I started to play again, one of the first things that the game made me do was take some girl out for a date. I didn't really want to, but it didn't really seem like I was given a choice. I picked her up in a car that I stole, and drove her to the closest fast food restaurant that I could find. I skipped the cut scene in the place, and then drove her back home. Just having to put up with that was kind of annoying, so I decided to go on another spree.
I loaded up the infinite health and ammo cheats and started by just shooting random pedestrians. When the cops started to show up, I drove off as fast as I could, hitting things in the way. I made it down to some kind of a boardwalk, with a lot of people on it. I proceeded to drive down the boardwalk, waking out what seemed like almost a hundred people. By this point the cops started to put up barricades on the road to stop me, so I would turn around and just go the other way. I continued to go back and forth in this manner, taking out cops until the helicopter showed up. By that point there wasn't much I could do. Even though I had infinite health on, that doesn't stop explosions and 50' cal bullets from killing you. Eventually the helicopter took me out, and I decided that I was done playing.

After picking the game up for the second time, I've decided not to stick to the main story and just see what I can do running around through what appears to be a very in depth sand-box environment. After leaving my in game house, I went down the road, and immediately came to what appeared to be a gym. I went inside, and found that you can train on free weights and a treadmill, all helping your character become stronger and faster. After leaving, I found that I could run for a little bit longer distances.
I went outside, and stole the closest car that I could find. I guess its called "Grand Theft Auto" for a reason. Anyway I drove down the streets of my neighborhood, hitting a lot of cars and pedestrians. Eventually I caused enough damage that the cops started showing up. This only made me want to drive faster. Eventually I caused too much damage on my car, and I had to bail out to get a new vehicle. I quickly grabbed a motorcycle off a guy and continued to run from the police. At this point there were quite a few of them on me. I managed to bring the chase up on to the freeway, where there was a bit more traffic. I made it up to top speed on the bike, which made it increasingly difficult to dodge traffic. At some point, I barely nicked someones side view mirror, but, because of the massive speed I was going at, it spun the car that I hit so it was sliding sideways. It hit the car next to it, which through that car into the oncoming lane. The cop cars, still in pursuit, hit this pileup. I was also thrown off of my bike about 30 feet forward, away from the wreak. When I turned around, there was about a 10 car pileup in the middle of the freeway, which continued to grow. After this I made my escape and got back to the house, and saved my game.

Well, I've just started playing San Andreas, and from the looks of it, the game is definitely showing its age. Even though its a few years old, it has not aged well. So far, I'm playing as CJ "Carl" Johnson, who is apparently returning home for some reason or another. The start of the game has me riding around on a bicycle, going some place. I run into some family and old acquaintances. Apparently I'm the member of the "Grove Street Familys", a gang in my neighborhood. We are at war with another gang, but other than that I don't get much background as to why.
So far they've made me complete missions for some of my friends, but at this point its basically to help you learn basic aspects of the game, like driving and shooting. There definitely seems that I have an opportunity to branch out a bit, but so far I've been staying to the main storyline.
