This is the last time i will ever play this game. I think that it creates bad and inaccurate portrayal of urban life. As a game player it is full of awkward movements and forces you to confront cops and gang members doing drive-bys like in the first mission. The chase on the bicycle is fun but very strange and saying that this is how members of gangs actually got around the city. It was fun to outrun cars and motorcycles on your BMX bike. The most fun i had was getting hit by a train on my bike and not being hurt at all. The opening pictures when the game is loading are interesting ethically speaking because they are skewed to make the player feel certain ways about how they act in the game. The cop is made to look like a bad guy even though you are the bad guy for the most part. The men with AK-47s in their hands with a handkerchief around their faces make them not only look menicing but they look like terrorists. Very appealing if you want to envoke a personal feeling about killing these men in the game. The women are even more depressing. All of these women are made to look like they are prostitutes, you dont see any of the people you saw in GTA3. That is about it, I thought that this game makes for an interesting ethical choice and I am happy that i didnt have to play anymore than I did.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Part two.
Playing this game for the second time and going deeper into the story made me think about how this game is set up critically. I think that this game made a serious effort to make a game that was representative of what its like to live in Los Angeles and be a member of a gang. This is very interesting because of the stereotypes that they used. I think that this is very detrimental to the game play because it forces the player to view this as normal life even if it is just in the context of the game. The violence and chaos that ensues in the game is just a normal day in the life, just like GTA3 must have been like for an Italian-American. This is and interesting ethical choice because it is trivializing the violence seen by the real people and those who lived through the gang wars of the 1990s.

This game is interesting at the approach it takes to the urban setting in which it is played. Using the stereotypes of the corrupt police officers and the black gang member persona. The violence is the only fun part of this game. The fact that i ran over bikers and pedestrians for fun. I did not have any idea where to go after the opening scene and they didnt tell me that i had an objective.
