The last half hour game session of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas was one in which I focused on two main questions. Is it ethical to play GTA: SA? Also, does GTA:SA have a moral code, and how would we describe it? While playing the game on my third go around I believe it is completely ethical to play the game and with that think this really shouldn't be an issue. Is it ethical to play sports games? Or what about any game in general? Just because a game has a violence and makes the brain enter a altar-reality doesn't mean its real. I think parents just have to mention to a child if they get the game, that is only a game and just use your common sense, while having fun of course. On my third go around I did a couple of things that would be fit as unmoral in our society such as, getting a hooker, walk into the police station and continuously kill cops, and jumped cars into the river, going for distance of course. These things aren't normal things that happen in our little world we like to call home, but in our alter-reality of video games, which were created by humans in the first place, these acts are just acts that will never hurt anyone at any time in anyway. Just the made up 2-D characters.

While playing Grand Theft Auto- San Andreas for the second go around was more fun than the first. I started out by doing the same routine of entering my cheats and seeing how long I could out run the police with my wanted level all the way to the max. This made for an interesting game experience considering I got into a tank and started to blast my way through the Vegas strip. I started to think about the following questions when playing the game, is this game actually ethical? When push comes to shove, If people don't have the right mind set about life and constantly live in fear I could maybe understand why they would view it unethical. In my own personal eyes, the game is still a game and thats all it is. I have never really used it to escape my own reality as a human on this earth. Its mealy a video game and it lets the mind go wild for a few hours. As for the question is the game good or bad, I believe personal the game is perfectly fine. It is no worse than going to the movies and seeing images portrayed across our eyes of violence, the only difference is, were controlling a made up character CJ.
