To begin with, I have to say that this game far exceeded my expectation. I am the first to say that I am not a big gamer, but I feel this game really got me thinking beyong an ethical stand point on what to do in certain situations that i was faced with in the challenges. If youre a simple gamer like myself you have to agree that this game, from its storyline to its depictions of the stereotypes was right on the money, in the sense that it is fact that these gangs act like they are depicted in the game. As I concluded my time playing GTA San Andreas, I could only say that its a great game. Does it challenge ones ability to choose whats right or wrong? yes!
can I say that it makes me want to go shoot someone or steal a persons car and cause caos? No! from an ethical stand point this game has no ethics at all. morally speaking I could not have any children playing this game. It would be injust for myself to let a child under 17 play this violent game. You have to be a muture person to understand what the point of this game really is. its not about killing and killing some more, you have to know how to strategize and determine how to carry out a mission. thats just my opinion. What I saw how my younger brothers were playing I knew they just wanted to kill and be violent throught the game and mimic the language that was used as well thats why I wouldnt let the young play. Over all I enjoyed my time playing the game when I took the game serious, would I play this game again I might, just to see how far I can take the violence and to find out what new delimas I would be faced with.
