With my final half hour session I continued doing the same thing from the last, which was killing as many students as they can with the ammo and health that is given to Dylan and Eric. It was quite interesting the gun power these two boys had and since the beginning of this “mission” only had to use two “medkits.” Some of the characters that Eric and Dylan were battling with are retaliated and that is why the two boys were losing “hp.” I found it quite intriguing how the game decided who would retaliate and who could make the move to miss our shots. It seemed as though only the “jockeys” could do so do anything to harm either Dylan or Eric. It also took a few shots to bring them down too, but on the other hand it was like one shot kills with any of the girl characters or against any of the faculty. I was amazed by the fact that the only faculty walking around the school were janitors or math teachers. I’m assuming that these two characters were the only ones that Dylan and Eric hated, because in the beginning of the game they were talking about who the hate and it seems as though everyone they hate was represented by a character in the school. Mentioned in my earlier blog I started out in the parking lot and made my way to the cafeteria. Having to kill all of the students in other place took more than an hour of game play. Obviously what Dylan and Eric did was immoral on any kind of an ethical way of thinking. Under Utilitarianism, the two boys (which are only two people) killed a mass number of students and faculty. The sadness of the outcome exceeds the happiness. Under Kant’s way of thinking, Dylan and Eric used these people as “a means to an end” which is considered immoral under Kantianism. The two boys were killing all those people because they represented what they didn’t like about society, and killing someone for that reason is always considered “a means to an end.”

After playing my second half hour session, I found it to be much more exciting than the first half hour session. Since I was able to save the game I started by meeting Dylan in the park to go over the plan. I was surprised how much hate these two boys had for society. There in the park we were waiting for the two bombs in the school to go off, but they never did. Instead Dylan said we should just go in and start shooting anyways. This “mission” started with just killing as many people in the parking lot as possible, then we moved into the school. The most interesting part when entering a battle with someone is how the first screen that pop’s up, it either say’s “Popular Girl”, “Church Boy”, “Nerdy Girl” etc… It was interesting how everyone that these two boys killed represented who they are not. At that time Eric and Dylan are two troubled boys that do not have a place in the world, and that is probably why they hated society and decided to kill the students and the faculty as well. I just found this killing spree to be never ending and so I decided to leave the school and safe the game in the parking lot.

After reading the title of the game I sort of had a feeling of what this game would be about. Since I have never played this game before I was quite surprised when I started to play. The graphics, it has been awhile since I last played a game like this and the graphics are much different from playing GTA San Andreas. With GTA I played the game before, so I knew the controls but with Super Columbine Massacre RPG I did not know the controls. I was expecting some guide to playing the game but I was not able to find it. I decided to just start the game and learn them in the process. The game started with one of the boys at home preparing the weapons (I believe it was Eric) and then once I completed that task, Dylan would come over. I was able to learn the controls of how to fairly fast, but performing an action was difficult. I eventually learned it was the space bar, but it took forever to do so and it took awhile to find the duffle bags. Before I even found the duffle bags, I did find a CD by Marilyn Manson, which I found interesting that that is the music Eric listens to.
The car ride to school was very interesting because of how Eric and Dylan talked about society and much they hate it. I found it intriguing how talked about many different types of groups of people and hated them all, such as the jockeys. Once I arrived at the school and I had to bring the gas tanks in and place them in the cafeteria. To complete this task I had to walk the hallway of the school to the other end. During these 30 minutes of play I found this task to be the most difficult because I must have failed it at least 10 times, which was very time consuming. I was always being caught be the camera or the other students. I eventually learned that I had walk under the cameras and just miss the students. But when I student caught me I thought it was interesting how they thought a person wearing a black trench coat like Eric would be a bad person. There are plenty of people how wear them that are not bad people. But each time that a student or camera caught I had to start the mission again. I did eventually place them under the tables at the designated areas, and then I left the school and met Dylan at his car. That is where I saved the game to continue next time.
