One of the most disturbing parts of the game was the conversations that took place. The boys were talking about how everyone deserves today and that they are doing the right thing. Also, the boys talked about how unhappy and upset they were that they are lonely when walking through the halls at school and how no one notices them. This is significantly different than the conversations that took place in the basement when the boys were talking about going away to college at Arizona State and joining the Marines. What frustrates me about the actions of these boys is that there is no possible explanation or justification for killing multiple people because you feel lonely. As I continued to kill teachers and students I thought about kids in high school today. I’m sure that many students face the same problems that Dylan and Kyle faced. The Columbine shooting will hopefully deter these kids from taking such extreme actions to punish those who were mean to them. However, I feel that there are better ways to learn more about Columbine or ways to get a better perspective than this game. This game lets you roam the school and kill people and groups of people. This is frustrating to me because how would you feel if your son or daughter was injured or killed during the real Columbine shootings? This game is insulting to this tragic situation; however I am glad I played this game because it made me see that sometimes video games are not the best way to honor those who did die at the Columbine shooting.
