SUMMARY
In Need For Speed Carbon, the player has a garage of their choice, where they can choose any of the cars available in the game, make any visual/performance modifications available, and buy/sell other cars at any time. The object of the game is to race people in different regions, who are in control of the regions, until the entire area has been defeated by you. Once you have won all of the races for the region, and the final boss race, you control that particular region. The final objective is to control the whole map, so that you are the boss of the entire map.
GAMEPLAY
This game is very exciting, especially for people who are new to the Need For Speed series, unlike myself. If you follow all of the stories of Need For Speed games, you will enjoy the cut outs before and after races that they do, otherwise, you just tend to skip them, and the story gets a little confusing. I get very frustrated when playing these video games because the smallest imperfection, such as not judging how sharp a turn is very well, or hitting an object in the road, can put you far enough behind the leaders that you cant catch up for the rest of the race and you are forced to restart. It requires absolute perfection from the player to be able to win the races, especially the boss/final races.
The story of the game was pretty good, but it doesn't vary very much from the other need for speed stories. I was very disappointed with the fact that this game only occurs at night time. This makes the game very difficult to see if you have lights on, or if its sunny outside, due to glare on the television. Also it gets boring having the same setting for time and weather every race. All in all the game was very exciting while going through the missions, taking over the whole map. After you beat the game there is some side races and accomplishments that you can do, but after a while they get very tedious, so I stopped playing within an hour after beating the game. All in all I would give this game a seven out of a ten and would recommend it to any fan of cars, speed or the need for speed series!
