Bubble Breaker 2 is a puzzle game where there are different colored bubbles that you can pop. In order to pop the bubbles you have to line up two or more bubbles. The object of the game is to get all of the bubbles popped.
session 1:
The levels of this game is really good. At each new level a different color ball is added, making it more difficult to break them all. I don't like the fact at a certain level instead of adding a new color they use numbers instead. This game is very addictive because its easy yet causes you to think at the same time. I would change how long the music plays. I would continue the music until the player quit playing instead of playing only one song. I didn't like the fact that you only had to break as many colored bubbles as possible to move to the next level, as oppose to breaking all the colored bubbles to move on to the next level. The game does exhibit emergent complexity at first, but when you realize you don't have to actually beat the one level to move on to the next, the energy on the game dies down. I made it all the way to level 14 without any trouble.
Session 2:
It was hard for me to quit playing this game the second time around. Once I decided to pay no attention to the levels of the game, I really enjoyed the challenge of the game. This time I decided to play this game with some of my friends, which definitly made the game more exciting yet frustrating. Everyone was yelling on which bubble to break when and everyone had their own strategy on how to approach the game. The difficulty level of the game is what keeps the player interested. Even though only 1 out of 5 times will you pop every bubble, the small possibility is very intriging. And the reward of winning the game is very satisfying and makes you want to play again. The fact that you can't beat the game everytime you play it is a good design element. like stated before I really like the increase of colors at each level, but the game would be even more interesting if you had to break all the bubbles to move on to the next level. But since it is so hard to always break every single bubble, I understand why the game was designed that way.
