God of War is great epic game. It takes place in the Ancient times of Greece. Obviously this means there are Gods, demons, and all sorts of mythical creatures. The story follows Kratos who is not a man, but he is not a God either. The point of the quest is for him go gain a sort of godhood or legendary status. Kratos is a big bald pale fighter, he weilds to gnarled blades that emit fire and have some sort of retraction chains. He seems like an interesting charachter, typical bad hard ass type, he is not good, but his missions lead to good causes. The story is also very good, theres a lot of room for creativity since there is a whole classical myth to work with. For now, the mission is to destroy Ares, God of War, which I believe will be the ultimate goal in the game, since that's what its title is. But I do like how epic everything is and all the dire consequences. Perhaps the most powerful aspect and most entertaining is the fighting system. It works of three simple attack commands: light swift strike, heavy slow strike, and grab. If you add in some jumps and move around the analog sticks some, you can create a very numerous amount of combos and moves. Another aspect is that you can use some special moves you pick up along the way, these special moves will be exlpined along the way. Each of these special moves are measured by a blue power bar, above a green power bar, and there is one last red bar that is filled that is for the upgrading of weapons you weild. This is of course somewhat typical of platformers.
