Today as I play the game I was very distracted by my own thoughts and I could help but think about the family of the children that were lost in this tragedy. I thought about how they might feel as they played the game. These thoughts have constantly been in my mind because I recently lost a family member to teen violence. Darrien Albert was my cousin; he was beaten to death by teenagers as he was protecting other friends. I could not imagine someone making a game out of my cousin’s death as these game designers have done. I really cannot wait until I do not have to play this game anymore; it brings back too many negative memories.

I played the game today for about 30 minutes; it was quite disturbing. It became quite boring quickly. I enjoy playing first person shooters and I will even say that I sometimes kill innocent people while I'm playing any of the GTA games; however, it doesn't bother me because I know how fictitious the entire game is. While I played this game I was really bothered because I kept thinking about the disturbing video footage that was in the "Bowling for Columbine" film. Those scenes were frightening; I couldn't imagine how those people felt. As I continued to play the game I just couldn't help but think about how I felt when I came home and found out about the shooting. Then I reflected on the college shootings that have been occurring. I think that it was a horrible idea to create a game about such a tragedy.
