Today was my final time playing Super Columbine RPG. I finished shooting the people in the parking lot and it took me a while to realize that I could now enter the classrooms and shoot the rest of the students. The students were all categorized as jock, church girl/boy, pretty, preppy, etc. When you had to shoot them, you could choose manual or automatic. Choosing automatic de-emphasizes what actions your character is really taking. And after every kill, the computer would congratulate you on your success. This is not the way the game should portray a devastating real-life event. The game should make you feel sad and confused as to why all this is taking place. Most people in our class don't like this game because we had previous knowledge about the massacre, however there are most likely younger players that do not.
After I killed all the students in the classrooms, I was not sure where to go. They do not really direct you to the next step in the game. I'm considering finishing it to see how they continue to portray Eric and Dylan. I think the best thing to do would be to somewhat dehumanize them at the end and show that their actions caused more pain and suffering then could be portrayed in this game.

Today was my second time playing Columbine Massacre. I have to say that it got a little boring. I decided to restart the game because I felt that I missed some things, and it turns out that I did. I watched a video that Dylan and Eric made before the shootings began. They had actual pictures of Eric and Dylan taking up most of my computer screen while I read their words in the video. I found that really creepy, staring at their faces knowing what they did. They wanted to take full responsibility of their future actions and did not want certain people to be blamed. Apparently they care about other people now? I wouldn't expect that from the people responsible for the massacre. Anyways, once I planted the bombs and waited for them not to go off, I ran around the parking lot, hallway, and cafeteria shooting everyone. I noticed that one time a girl fought back, a majority of the time it was the jocks that fought back. However, I was able to kill them regardless of who fought back. I did not finish killing everyone yet in the parking lot, but I hope once I do something will happen. I did notice that when I was shooting at people I encountered, an actual picture from the school would pop up in the background. Is it really necessary to make this game as realistic as possible? I can only imagine what I will find that will make me more mad about this game once I kill everyone in the parking lot tomorrow.

Today was my first time playing Columbine, and so far I'm disgusted. First off, the fact that someone would want to create a game regarding such a horrific incident is disturbing to me. And second, you are playing as Eric, one of the students involved in the shooting. Why would I want to play a character involved in a real life massacre? It's different when you play a fictional character that's involved with a massacre because there are no previous emotional attachments. When I played as Eric, I kept having visions of when I first heard of the Columbine Massacre and all the sadness that day brought. This was the first came that I counted down the 30 minutes.
It also bothered me that when Eric and Dylan conversed, we could see their pictures. Seeing their faces only made this game worse, it emphasized the fact that I was going to cause the pain and suffering to innocent people the same way they did. Honestly, I'm not looking forward to the next 2 days.
