(Day 3)
I started to just explore the neighborhood for my last time of playing. I was also able to get some tattoos for my character. The tattoos consist of a gun and knife on Carl’s back and chest. I assume the reason for these tattoos in the real world would be to show strength and toughness. However it also brings out violence that many people see every day and the tattoos in a way might also be used as a defense to keep harm away but people thinking that someone with tattoos of guns might be too tough to mess with. After getting a few tattoos I was able to explore a bar in town. Inside the bar I was able to beat up some random people; which you can really do anywhere. After that I headed back to Grove Street to do another mission. The next mission was a drive by in Baller’s territory. During the drive by we were able to kill about 14 guys in total. After killing all these guys we had to go change the color of the car so the cops would not find us. This scared me a little when I think about the kids that play this game because it gives kids the mentality of what to do if they do a drive by. It’s not like every day that kids do drive bys that kill over a dozen people but it is the simple fact that they are being exposed to this violence so young. After this I continued to explore the town which included crashing cars, hitting pedestrians, ignoring traffic signs, and of course stealing cars. Furthermore I believe that this game is ethically wrong because it exposes the young generations to violence and they get rewards in the game for the violent acts they comment.
On a different but similar note, I am glad that it is now a law that minors cannot buy M rated (for children 17 and over) games and anyone trying to buy an M rated game must have their id checked. This helps keep the violence out of minor’s hands unless they have parental supervision when buying the game. As a cashier at GameStop I have seen a lot of sales fall thru because the child's parents are not aware that the game their child wants is rated M for children 17 and over. When I tell them that it is they almost always say no to the game. This also helps parents limit their Childs exposure to violence. In the case of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas I believe it is morally wrong for us to make video games with such violence for children.

(Day 2)
I started playing Grand Theft Auto for the second time late last night. Beginning where I last left off, I started with a reunion of the group (including Big Smoke and Sweet). They were all smoking when the decided to go meet up with someone named “B-Dup”. When they arrived there was a lot of cursing and it appeared that “B-dup” did not want to talk to Carl. Also during the confrontation another character is introduced, Big Bear. Big Bear acts like a slave to B-Dup because B-Dup gives him smoke and Big Bear seems do addicted to smoking that he is willing to be B-Dup’s slave. This stuck out to me in the game because it makes me think about the people in the real world who are so addicted to smoking or drugs that the lower themselves to be slaves for some. Also it brought out the question is it morally right for B-Dup to use Big Bear as a slave by using his addiction as a weakness against him.
After this the group decides to go beat up a drug dealer. Having a gun I shot a drug dealer in a front lawn then I was told to go to his house. At his house there were four other people that I shot and driving away from the house I got shot at. After dropping off Sweet at his house I went around the neighborhood to do more tagging again. I was able to do 15 more tagging, which once again is wrong because it is vandalism and destroying someone else’s property. Then I meet back up with the guys and was told to get something to eat, as we were at the fast food place the Ballers came and did a drive by. We then followed them in the car and shot at them while they shot back. And as they got out of the car I was able to run them over with the car. Once again murder was in the game almost as your only option or you get killed. After the shot out me and Big smoke went to Emmet’s house to get more guns. After this I saved the game and was finished playing.
As I said before I played late last night and I noticed when I woke up that my dreams seemed more violent. I had a dream that I was in a shoot out myself and seem people get shot and died. It makes me wonder if kids who play this game become more violent over time, just how my dreams had got more violent.
