I get to play with friends who beats me like a baby playing Takken 6 ,which I have a lot more confidence than MvC3. Turns out I somehow better at this game than my friends. I learned more aspect of each character (my friends have very odd roster like She-hulk, Dr.Doom and Ironman)
I also get to try Chun-Li and Taskmaster (like serious play)
Taskmaster is a defensive mindset and plays on counter (my main character in Takken 6 is Asuka Kazama who is specialized in counter as well)
I enjoyed playing Taskmaster than Magneto.
Magneto's concept is to control the opponent's range by his attack and counter when they gets too close to him while Taskmaster is a melee based character with some of ranged attack.
Seems like I have a lot more things to learn in MvC3
Now I'm more interested in learning to play Amaterasu.
Ps. One thing I noticed is that we only pick Zero once during the entire night.
I feel like it's for kids who wants to be cool. (No, he's not cool at all)

I played this with a friend of mine.
I have to say that I have a home advantage because I know the basic control of the game while my friend, Yan ,has never played before.
Being grown up with my brother, we always play fighting games so I am pretty good at playing it.
Even though I am more familiar with Takken type control and button combination, Simplifying the classic control of Street fighter 2 to this one is interesting.
There are few interesting character that encourage different mechanic.
Such as Thor, He is so slow that I was always hit by his low attack which is faster. This makes be more careful with timing and what happened was I hit him a few times and our health dropped to almost the same amount.
I usually tends to pick a fast character like Felicia and Wolverine. but after I gave him a few advantage by picking random characters. I enjoy using Thor as an alternative.
Another element that I found it interesting is that some of the special ability will have a different direction depending on which attack button you are using.
What interest me is that, the low attack always straight while high attack goes up vertically. This, I believe, encourage players not to use only the high attack. this mechanic subtlety teaches you to be more careful when playing.
While I slowly try new things and being careful, my friends loves the button smash approach. It turns out good for him. He hit me with unexpected moves but I usually win the match. (If I remember correctly, I won 30-ish matches and lose 1 match.
