Day 3
Day 3, and this game still has yet to reveal to me what is so great about it. Sure you can drive like a crazy person all around town, which can be amusing, and you fight to gain respect. But still, I fail to see what is so great about this game. This game is basically about how to be as bad a person as you can be. Sure CJ had some morals (some), but ultimately this game does nothing but show you the wrong side of life. And maybe that's a good thing. People should get a nice look at the other side of the coin once in a while. But other than that, there is no point to this game.
There are traces of there being a plot if you play the game long enough, but it is so smothered by all the other stuff going on that you don't really see it. And character development? Maybe there was some here and there, but again it is so hard to see amongst all the violence going on in this game.
I would not recommend this game to anyone, not even to the people who play games like Arkam City (I'm not sure if this game is out yet). Actually I think Arkam City might beat GTA: San Andreas, though only by a little bit; mostly for how all the violence is carried out. I know that there are a lot of games that have violence in them, but the way that GTA supports it, is just sick. Really, really sick. I mean when you have sex, if you want your money back, you have to kill the prostitute, and that is just so wrong. While I don't like the idea of prostitution it is a form of life that some people choose, and they have the right to the money, so killing them to get your money back is just plain wrong.

Day 2
After playing the game for a second time, I can say with confidence that I do not like the game, at all. You could describe it as being a handbook on how to run a gang. Except that instead of a book, you have a game.
There morals of the game are, do whatever makes you happy, keeps you alive, and keeps you at the top of the line. It has nothing really to offer, except the possible pleasure of running into lamp posts and foolish pedestrians who just stroll on by. I have to admit, I find it hard to believe that there is anyone in the world who finds this game the least bit entertaining, but apparently someone must have since so many were made.
While I'm still not very far in the game, I have to say that I'm starting to believe what people say about video games. Granted I don't believe that this the case with most games. But if people are saying that games cause people to steal and what not, then I'd have to say that those kinds of people are playing too much Grand Theft Auto.

Day 1
If my log says that I give this game a 5, IT IS A LIE! I'd more likely give this game a 1 or a 1.5 at best; maybe a 2 on a good day. I know people say that this is an awesome game, but I fail to see why. From my point of view with as far as I've played in the game (which isn't very far), this game is a dogs eat dogs, or survival of the fittest kind of game. Not very entertaining if you ask me.
My basic understanding of the game, is that you are supposed to get to the top of the heap, and be able to defend your position from other gangs and make sure that you don't get busted by the police. In my book, that isn't fun. I don't mind the shooting, I even enjoy the driving, I hate trying to ride a bike because the silly thing doesn't really seem to want to go unless your pressing L1, which makes your character do a bunny hop when you let go. I really don't like the fact that you're supposed to be part of a gang, not only because of what I've heard about gangs, but because I don't like what it means to be part of a gang.
