Day 3: On my final day of playing Super Columbine Massacre, I wondered why this game wasn’t made a big deal for being very unethical. Maybe I didn’t noticed, considering I only know this game exists because of this class, but I don’t think the media made a big deal about the creation of this game. Possibly it’s because the media did not want to introduce the game to other students around the nation, thus would give them wrong ideas. To make a comparison, I know there are people that actually find this game entertaining, which is sickening. I wonder if anyone would find it entertaining to play a highjacker crashing a plane into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon? Most likely not.
In fact, there are more acts of violence occurring in school settings than ever before. The game itself portrays the different “high school stereotypes” as if every school in America is like that. To me, the creator turned the whole Columbine Massacre into a joke and twisted the story for the amusement of the player. For players who do not know the story behind the massacre, they look at the game as a fun RPG, but in reality are stooping down to the level of the creator.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this game. It was hard for me to play this game considering how disrespectful it is to the families of the victims and the Columbine community. The Internet obviously has no limits and that could be scary. I’m not sure if I want to see how far that envelope can be pushed.

Day 2: Entering my second day of playing Super Columbine Massacre, I started to proceed with the main point of the game, killing whomever you see. I gathered all the ammo I could get and began. As the game progresses, there are conversations between Eric and Dylan on what to do. The dialogue to me is very interesting on how they talk to each other.
To me, it’s interesting to see how the creator decided to put student victims in the game. The creator does this by putting stereotypes on every person you kill. After having a good amount of time playing this game, I don’t find any fun in it; in fact I find it disturbing. It seems to me that the creator put these stereotypes on students so you can choose whom you want to kill, depending how you feel. Kind of like taking your own frustration out without actually doing what Eric and Dylan did. Unfortunately, I have still yet to play this game an additional time and at this moment I don’t enjoy it at all. Being a student, it’s hard for me to play a game like this because this could happen at any moment, at any school.

DAY 1: When first realizing that I would be playing a videogame called Super Columbine Massacre RPG, I thought to myself, how could anyone want to make a game like this? Having done previous research and reports on the Columbine tragedy, I already had a good amount of knowledge on what exactly happened. The game itself didn’t impress me at all. The graphics are terrible, the game itself is hard to understand, and it just isn’t any fun to me. The game is unethical on many levels. In the game, you play the characters of Eric and Dylan, who were the actual shooters in the Columbine Massacre, and you act out each kill from the beginning of their “mission”. It’s disgusting to me that someone would take the time to create a game of such a horrific event, just for others’ entertainment. Not to mention how disrespectful it is to the victims’ families to let anyone on the Internet download this game and play it. This game just shows there are no limits are morals on the Internet. Playing this game isn’t as fun to me as others may think it is, so I’ll see how much I can handle playing it my next time.
