After my second play through of Apples to Apples, I will give a summary of what I think is the overall appeal of the game and what things are good and what things are bad.
During my second play though I played with another group of people that I did not know as well as my first. This group was mostly residents that lived in the same hallway as me, so I didn't really know them too well but knew of them.
As what I stated in my previous log, I believe the best thing about this game is that anyone can play given that the learning curve is not high at all and all one needs to play is just their opinion, which luckily everyone has one.
The easiness of the rules also gives the game a more enjoyable atmosphere since no one will feel bad for making a wrong decision or feel like they failed due to a bad strategy. This gives the game a more social atmosphere since everyone is learning about everyone else through their opinions and what cards they choose. The big thing I noticed with this is that this makes the game very fair, since no one is really better than the other in terms of skill.
The only thing that I think maybe frustrating about the game is that if everyone knows each other then people may form these little cliques where they may be biased on what card they choose only based on because that person chose that card, which ends up ruining the game and doesn't give everyone a fair chance.
Overall though I still consider Apples to Apples a very fun game to play with nearly anyone, since anyone can pick it up and everyone has a fair chance to win. I would most definitely continue to play this game with my friends if the occasion arises, since it is a great way to meet people and know others better.
Also worth noting is that Apples to Apples actually has been made for both Xbox360 and PS3. Due easier convenience the developers have added a single player mode in case someone can't find anyone at the moment to play with. In this mode players do a sort of time trail against the computer, attempting to guess which card is best. Of course though the game does have a multi-player mode that plays just as the board game would.

Apples to Apples is a card based game that you can play with up to 10 people. You will always need at least 2 players however to play.
Players start with 7 red cards which all have nouns or noun gerunds on them. Once everyone has 7 red cards then player will rotate who will be the "judge". The judge player draws a green card which has an adjective on it. Anyone who is not the judge player will then put a red card out that they think best describes the adjective. The judge player will then choose which red card they like the best that best describes the green card to them and then the player whose red card gets chosen will then acquire the green card.
The objective of Apples to Apples is to win a pre-destined set amount of green cards first.
On my first play through of this game with a 5 other friends proved to be very enjoyable. Since everyone kind of already knew each other some people were able to choose red cards that may not even relate to the green card and still win purely based on their knowledge of the judge character and their opinion.
This game also has a high social aspect to it making it a great way to meet people or just get to know others better. I found that the more people you play with usually the more enjoyable because you get to hear everyone's opinion, no matter how logical or random it may be.
The one thing that I love so much about this game is that really anyone can play, since the only thing needed is one's opinion. Everyone can judge something thus making it a very easy and more personalized game to play.
On my first sessions I found the game very enjoyable because everyone could be as random or logical as they wanted to be, with really no rules telling people how to play or what they think is right. I will be doing a second session soon, maybe with another group of friends to get a different feeling and result.
