The second time I went to play blackjack, things didn't go as well. We started off winning a little money but our luck soon changed. In this case I responded to the games reward structure by leaving the table. The game doesn't experience emergent gameplay, it is very straightforward. You do get a sense of flow because each hand is a new try at winning the game. The second time there wasn't as much of a social aspect because there were fewer people at the table and we didn't spend as much time playing. The game would work as a computer game. Obviously the dealer would be replaced by an AI player.

The game I decided to review is blackjack. My friend and I played at a casino on the coast. It is a card game and the rules are fairly simple. You are dealt two cards and are allowed to take more cards. The goal is to get as closer to 21 without going over than the dealer. Number cards have their face value, face cards are worth 10 and aces are worth 1 or 11, so ideally you want to get a 10 or face card and an ace on the first deal. The game is quick to pick up, but there can be a fair amount of strategy to it. However you can play the game exactly right and still lose to the dealer because of the luck of the draw. The game has a fairly high amount of social interaction for a competitive card game because you aren't competing against other players, just the dealer. When we went the first time, there were about 6 of us at the table and part of the fun of playing can be the social interactions with other players.
