GraugyFi's Age of Empires III (PC)

    [January 12, 2007 01:46:29 AM]
This is an entry that i logged incorrectly, and precedes the first log.

This is a great game. I have played the series since the original Age of Empires. The game play has drastically changed since the original release. I have been recently playing the campaign mode in the game. My latest campaign was tough and took me twice to accomplish. Although it was frustrating to lose my first try, it taught me better strategy to use to better defend my civilization. It also taught me how to spend my resources and how to better collect them. I'm sure my next endevour will be just as much fun. I give the game a 5 on the rating scale because it always keeps me coming back to play more and is always challenging.

The second time around was an overall good experience. The storyline of the campaign in AOE III still continues to entertain me. This level required me to utilize a completely different strategy than the previous campaign. In this one my objectives were to follow the hero, Bolivar, and his army to crush the Spanish. This time I was given sufficient resources to collect(something that had been a problem in the previous canpaign), but I only created a small amount of villagers initially, which in turn led to a deficiency in resources. It had me feeling that I was not going to be able to mount an offense strong enough to defeat the oppoistion. I however, quickly channeled my lumber resources into the production of fishing boats. This freed up my villagers and I was able to put more energy in collecting wood, which I used to make more ships, and coin which is essential to the production of most units.
