I recently played Tetris Battle over the web. Through the social network Facebook, anyone may "install" this application to the side toolbar of their Facebook homepage. In contrast with the original version of Tetris launched and widely played years ago, Tetris Battle includes many extra features as well as modernizing the game play. Upon clicking on the application to play, the first feature that appears would be my "Bonus", in which I spin this animated slot to see what prizes I've won for today (prizes include coins and Tetris blocks). When I begin my first game, I would be paired up to battle another Facebook user (stranger or friend, it is randomized). The games are played just like the classic version of Tetris, except I use the arrow keys on the keyboard and the 'C' key to hold a piece for later use. There are combos and a "bomb" feature that allows me to send blockage lines to the other player, making it harder for them to clear their Tetris lines on time. The game goes on for two minutes and the player with the most lines sent wins. Tetris Battle is not as simple as it may sound, but once played over and over again, one can develop familiarity with this addicting game and its many features. This game is rated only a three, because of some of the most unnecessary features, such as having Tetris pieces as prizes, or having to buy "decor" to decorate your Tetris blocks. Overall, this Facebook application is fairly addicting (I thoroughly enjoy challenges) and could be played with friends to pass time and bond.
