NBA 2K12 is a basketball game based on real time national basketball association (NBA). I’ve started playing this game since about the past month a few days out of the week. On my Xbox 360 with a 1080 HD TV the graphics are phenomenal. The game play is very realistic, movement of players, dribbling, passing, shooting physics is very real. It has real player skill level, free throw shooting percentage etc. For example Kobe Bryant has a lot better shot percentage than other mediocre players, but less stamina than other younger players because of his age. Also there are online updates to keep the game up to date with the real NBA. Such as when players get traded or released in the NBA, your roster will be automatically updated as long as you’re connected to Xbox live. Some game modes I have been playing include the my player mode, association and online mode. In Association mode you simply choose a team to start your season with, for example I’ve been using the Lakers. You play games in that season and try to make playoffs then the Finals. In this mode you can trade players, release players, sign new players, change your offensive and defensive game plan and much more. My player mode you create your own player and choose what position you play. I choose to make my self a point guard with skills set more concentrated to 3 point shooting. After creating a player you will be entered into the NBA draft and you will be put into a random team. From there on you can only play as yourself and have no control over player/team management. As you play more games your skills get better and you can choose which skills you want to improve from the skills points you earn. Over all I love the game both graphically and gameplay wise.
