The game Unblock Me is an iPod app that is basically about getting the red block out of the box that the player is playing. The objective is straightforward; all a player has to do is try to get the red block out. The game is really simple and made so that anyone can play it. There are two modes when the game begins, challenge and relaxed. Challenge mode has the player see how many moves it takes to get the red block out of the puzzle, while relaxed mode doesn’t count how many moves it takes. The challenge mode effectively works to make the game a lot more interesting and helps to get competitive players to enjoy the game. Relaxed mode works for people who enjoy taking their time and not worry about their amount of moves it takes to escape the puzzle. The game’s genre is puzzle, strategy and tactics and works for people who especially like to think about a game and figure out ways to complete each level. The game has the hint button also which helps those players who are learning to figure out how to play the game. The game developers did well in helping with that aspect of the game and also with making the concept of moving the block out of the puzzle. The way that they made this game is that each difficulty has 400 levels and the levels of difficulty are beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert. These difficulties also have bonus levels, which add up to about 800 levels total for each difficulty. The game allows for a lot of replay time and there is always a different way to solve each puzzle. It is interesting how the developers made the game so that all of them can be solved differently and that there isn’t a correct way of beating a level. This is definitely a very neat, fun, and relaxing game to play on the iPod.
