Recently I have been playing Age of Empires III on the computer. This game is pure strategy game similar to star craft but with a lot more civilization choices and a lot more units. You start with workers/farmers from which you collect food, mine rocks, etc.. using these resources you build buildings houses, and military buildings and more. From there you build an army and try to conquer the opponent in multiplayer mode. I haven’t played the campaign mode yet. In multiplayer mode, you can play online or offline. Graphics are decent. Maybe it’s due to my graphics card but Star craft was a lot clearer for me. Terms of game play it takes some to getting used to moving thru the map using your curser. Controls require clicking the units or click and drag to select bigger amounts of units. Then after you have your unit/units selected you can move it by right clicking. You can tell units to attack, build, and more depending on the unit’s capabilities. When attacking opponents units there is attack and defense that effect fatalities. Every unit has different amounts of attack and defense. Range is also a big consideration. Some units such as archers have a lot more range than pike men who can only attack if the opponent is extremely close. There are thousands of more to this game than I can write but generally this strategy game is really fun and addicting.
