I had finally gotten time right before this midterm week to play Guild Wars 2. I had gotten Guild wars 2 last week but hadn’t enough time to dive deep into the world of Guild Wars 2 and Explore. I was overwhelmed right in the beginning of how vast and large the world map was. It seems like it would take me an eternity to fully explore each corner of the world, but that is one of fun aspects to me. To start off I made a Norn race female character which are Huge in comparison to the human race. The Norn about twice as big and bulkier then the humans. I wasn’t too sure of which class to pick but I choose Ranger since it best suited my play style. Usually in games I play as the Support or Sniper class which share a common theme of staying back while your team mates push the front lines. In battlefield 3 I have earned almost all the unlockable playing the support class helping my teammates by suppressing fire and giving them more ammunition. Back to Guild Wars 2 I plan on using the Ranger to support and cover fire as the enemies charge towards my allies. One of the most best and unique parts about being a Ranger in Guild Wars 2 is that you get a pet. You can choose one out of three animals in the game which are Bear, Wolf, and Snow Leopard. It wasn’t a tough decision for me to make, I immediately choose the Snow Leopard as my pet. I have always been a big cat lover, so there wasn’t any second thoughts. Their where three traits to choose from whether your character used charm, force, or dignity. The trait I choose was Force, every dialog during the cut scenes she uses her mighty force to get thing done. Overall I hope to go into greater detail next week of the campaign missions and the side quests.

This week has been a surprisingly fun and interesting week. The game guild wars came out a few weeks ago but I was hesitant to buy it since it could eat up all of my time. I was uncertain if I could manage my time properly with an amazing game that has gotten many positive reviews from every site. It was a risky gamble that I was taking, I factored in all the aspects first. I already had three friends who had already bought it and my best friend was deciding on buying only if I got it. After doing much homework on what the game had to offer it was hard to let this game title be a pass for me. I went to Walmart late at night after work taking my friend to buy it with me. To our surprise only two copies were remaining, we had gotten lucky! I haven’t played much of the game yet but I was overwhelmed at the amount of features and choices it gives you right in the beginning. It took me about an hour making a character. It gave you five races to choose from with eight total classes. The races very from human to Charr which are Minotaur creatures that use big warfare weapons to overwhelm their enemies. The classes included Elementalist, Warriors, Engineer, and much more! To my surprise the game took much more graphic power to run then I thought it would, I currently have a crossfire set up with 3.6 GHz six core processor. But that isn't enough to run the game on ultra without any lag which is kind of a disappointment but there are many things happening on the screen at once. I hope to get more time to play this coming week so I can do a full in-game detail report about the game-play, the items, and the core fighting mechanics that make this game worthwhile to play.
