For gamelog six, I chose to play Extreme Rally. It was a rally racing game. I chose a racing game because those types of games excite me. The aim of the game was to finish up first in the race by going three laps. The controls were understandable, easy to follow, and use. The up arrow was used to accelerate, the down arrow was used to brake, left and right arrows were used to steer, “n” key was used to speed up, and the “p” key was used to pause the game. What I liked the most about Extreme Rally was the fact that you could choose your own car and the level you want. This makes it easy and fun for people who choose to play because they have options rather than they stuck with something they don’t like. The cars available were seven in total and the levels that were to be completed were six but one could start from any level, even starting from level six. The surroundings in which the racing took place looked artificial. The overall game was boring to play. It had no obstacles to it. It was just like an ordinary racing game. Also, the game itself paused so many times. This, however, made the game more uninteresting and frustrating. The music was also annoying to listen to. It had the same beat played over and over during the entire game. The game is played by a single player only with the computer. On the whole, I wouldn’t recommend Extreme Rally to anyone, not even to babies. The entire game play had no tactics to it. It was boring, uninteresting, not worth playing, and unexciting. I would prefer to listen to an annoying person rather than playing the game.
