The Assassin's Creed series has really captured the heart of modern gamer's. The saga in now on its fifth release of the series and seems to have no end in sight. Don't get me wrong its a good thing, to many games nowadays try and force this unreasonable plots and too predictable battle mechanic or even first person shooters. It's nice to have a game that doesn't just involve guns, mainstream stereotypical "bad ass marine" characters littering the screen. Assassin's Creed's gripping climbing and free running like mechanic and variable fighting styles captures all aspects gamer's want from large sandbox games. It also has an impressive story and reconstructive view of past societies. Such as old Boston in this case. No one has ever seen what Boston really looked like to the human eye till now yet today while playing Assassin's Creed we can walk the streets like people probably did back then from the comfort of our own homes. One more thing Creed features the involvement of multiple religious belief and features a good amount of historical and religious accuracy. Granted the characters from the games are not real yet their factions were and that is enough to involve very important dates of history and historical events into the game play. It shows how games can used for entertainment but also a way to learn or discover more about our world and our world's history.
