I thought I had written about this earlier...sigh.
Yes, the choices are tough - they're also binary, but remarkably effective in eliciting an emotional reaction. I cried at the end. No lie.

I enjoyed episode one so much that I was really excited when I saw there was a regular retail released of the entire series. I think it was probably more expensive than buying the season pass - but I really do like to own a plastic box. Mostly because I can lend it to other people... Anyways...
When I first booted it up a few weeks ago I was really concerned about one thing: would the game be clever enough to realize that I had played episode one already? In other words, would my saved game work automatically or would I have to play through episode one again? Thankfully it was seamless. Apparently the game still "checks in" with a server to see where you're at and what content you've already downloaded/played through which is neat. I'm quite grateful for that since it shows that a little extra care went into this version.
So, Episode 2 was quite intense in an entirely unexpected way. In a nutshell you meet some strangers who are living in a farmhouse...and things go south quite quickly. I like how the story riffs off the "canon" from the comic book - what with the characters spending time holed up in a farm and all that. Things didn't go the way I expected which was good... I really enjoyed this episode in terms of the story but I must confess that the "puzzles" are really quite simple - there isn't much challenge here at all (even though I died a few times on the QTE type events).
