I'm sorry but this time I could only handle about 25 minutes of this game because of the of the sudden lack of morals (at least in my perspective) in this game. The entire time I felt as if I should just set down the controller, get the pc version of the game, and mod/reprogram it so then the character CJ would have better way to to go through the game instead of just unnecessarily killing people. Throughout the 25 min. I played the game and I had to guide CJ through a gangster style crack down upon which CJ had no choice but to beat up crack addicts and dealers to death because crack was messing up the neighborhood. That just seems like a stupid way to go about eradicating crack from the "streets" since it'll just make matters worse inn the end. Also, what was really strange, was that as CJ located a crack dealer on the street in broad daylight there was a cop car present during the dealing, assualt and possible murder of said drug dealer. The cop, which should be inside the car, did absolutely nothing as CJ beat up a drug dealer with a baseball bat and as the dealer sold drugs. So far this game seems messed up, despite the seemingly "good" intentions of the character CJ, and I refuse to physically play through the rest of this game.

This is my first time ever playing any of the Grand Theft Auto games, and I have to say that most of the rumors concerning its immorality are true (mentioning that you’re playing as someone, CJ, who just went back into the gang life). All I did through this play through was go through the first of the missions that were available: Big Smoke, Sweet &Kindle, and Ryder. Just based on the first few missions, I can tell that the game developers did a good job in capturing the real aesthetics of the “Thug Life” since, most of the time, the character CJ doesn’t necessarily want to make immoral decisions but instead he is hanging around people who do (his friend Ryder for instance). The people he keeps hanging around with are what causes him to do certain immoral acts. For instance because Ryder tried to rob a store, the cashier pulled out a shot gun and started shooting forcing CJ to retaliate by shooting back while running away in order to protect himself and Ryder. CJ knows that what Ryder did was immoral due to the fact that he called Ryder’s action “stupid” meaning that CJ knew that random robbing is wrong. So far, it seems that CJ and his family, including the people in his gang are “good” people deep down but they make foolish decisions. I personally just feel that the environment that the player, as well as CJ, are put in is one that is in itself immoral: the NPC women in the game seem like prostitutes (the women not involved in the story that say random stuff to you as you cycle by), you do have the choice of running people over or not, but since the handling isn’t the best you could end up running people over by accident, some missions force you to kill others
