P found this, had a hunch about it, and gifted me a copy over the summer. We've played twice this week. ibb & obb is a clever two-player co-op game. It’s a 2-d sidescroller where each player controls either ibb or obb, two little blob-like characters with feet. On the top half of the screen, gravity is normal, but on the bottom half, it is reversed. There are barriers you can jump through to move from top to bottom and bottom to top, and you utilize these to get around enemies and obstacles. Ibb and obb can also use one another to gain extra height on jumps. Physics play a part too, so that if you jump through one of the barriers, you will sort of arc back on the other side of the screen. It’s hard to explain! But, like Portal, if you go through the barrier with a lot of speed, you will come flying faster out the other side. So far, this has been the key to the most difficult puzzles.
There are also little trampolines ibb and obb can use to bounce each other higher, platforms to gain height, spiky enemies to avoid or kill, these gravity orbs that can alter your trajectory and launch you further, and more. I believe P and I are on world 8 (of how many I do not know), but we are having a grand time. Cute, fun, challenging, intuitive co-op game, certainly recommended.
