I first played this about a year ago when everyone was really excited about it. It's pretty, and cute, and I would say the design is very..hmm... slick. I must have completed 4 or 5 levels in an hour or so and then moved on to something else and never really picked it up again. Until yesterday.
I was about to delete the app from my ipad when I decided I might as well finish the game. How much longer could it be? I wasn't really sure - from the menu it seemed like it was 10 levels. But maybe another ten would unlock once you finished that? And then ten more?
Yeah, it's only ten levels and they're neither that hard nor that long. I'm not saying that in a judgmental way, but rather as a statement of fact. It's a short game. I remember people being upset about the new/extra levels being a paid download (rather than a free expansion) and I can understand why (since the base game is so short). Then again, I don't really agree with them. Yeah, it's short. You paid money for it. Get over it. It's only a few bucks anyways (don't remember the price, to be honest) and you probably spent more on coffee...
So, is it such a great game after all? I feel kind of bad saying it's "ok". I don't have any real complaints other than it seemed a bit too easy for me. On the other hand, this is a really good example of a game with a slick, intuitive interface that is just a joy to interact with. You really do discover how to play the game by touching, sliding, swiping, and so on. In that sense you do get a nice sense of discovery when you realize how something works or what happens when you move it around.
