I played Nier: automate, to a point where I have to visit an amusement park. What surprised me the most was the fact that all the robots here are peaceful, except for some interesting looking one. The rest of the robots were really helpful with directions and they even sell me items. Up till this point the game was antagonizing the machines, even the npc follower I have wants me to destroy even the peaceful ones. At the very end of the amusement park was a boss. The boss robot was a huge singing machine dressed up in android corpses, it was quite disturbing actually. After many failed attempts I finally beat it. After the boss fight I was invited to a quaint little town created by peaceful robots. This town made me wonder whether all the robots are sentient or only a selected few are, if so have I been killing them due to misunderstanding. The robots in the village not only have emotions but also dreams, they have family as well as friends. What’s so different between the androids and the machines?

I started playing Nier Automata, not knowing much about this franchise, the beginning of the game was a little confusing. However, through time i was able to understand a fragment of it's concept and ideas. The main focus of the story was the war between mankind and machines, and the protagonist was an android made to battle the machines. There were a lot of mysteries and questions unanswered, but I am pretty sure it's just due to me not getting that far in the game. My first impression on the game was "this game is gorgeous". The music and the open-world design was simply breathtaking, and the animation was as smooth as a baby's butt. I am definitely looking forward in finishing the game.
