Playing two darts games (almost) back to back is unusual for me - I'm not really into darts. But, I've been sitting on these games due to some research I was doing and I thought I might as well play them to see what they're like (outside of my research interest).
Unsurprisingly there is a big difference between games and I really enjoyed playing Touch Darts a lot more than this one. I'm still chewing on why that is and, also unsurprisingly, I think it's mostly about the interface and how it either makes sense/doesn't make sense to me. To be fair, the license and the use of real(?) professional darts players is of zero interest to me - and I also don't have the sense of whether one game is more "authentic" to playing darts in real life (other than what I know from darts I've thrown myself). So, it's possible that not being able to make sense of the game might be more of my fault than the game itself?
Either way, it seems like the standard dart throwing UI is to slide back and then forward. This game also takes in the account whether your direction is straight since an on-screen dart (with a meter that fills up when you pull back) also shows the dart tilting left/right if your line isn't straight. It took me more practice to get some shots in semi-decently - so I think the difficulty on this game is definitely higher up!
Big picture? I have no real interesting continuing to play, but I appreciate the subleties between this game's UI choices and Touch Darts.
