I haven't counted to make sure if there are actually 101 games or not - but there are definitely many, many games here. They're all short minigame and they are mostly locked. To unlock (I think) you have to beat a certain score on open games. That gives you a "key" (but I can't tell where these are tracked, only that I had some, used them, couldn't unlock more games, beat some scores, and then could unlock games again).
The sheer diversity of games and their simple interfaces and mechanics is really impressive. Many are...not fun to play at all, too difficult, wonky, etc. BUT, I'm still impressed by how many games there are. I'm curious about the development process for these - I haven't seen much re-use of assets and stuff like that. So, were these all 3-day dev games that got bundled together? Were they "outsourced"?
I'm also thinking that this could be a great class game dev exercise - small teams each need to make a short game following a theme (e.g. sports) and they all get bundled together.
