Well, I beat the game. I completed the moon to over 690 meters large, and made the north star. I was almost tempted to be done with the game, but it has captivated me, I'm going to leave this open and from time to time pick the game back up and try to find presents and cousins and all the items.
The ending wasn't all that special, and the levels weren't very difficult (I only failed one once), but the ridiculous story line is well ridiculous.

Well, I picked up the game again yesterday and made a few new constellations and a new star. I also failed a mission for the first time, the king was very angry at me and the game got all dark and there were rain clouds, and then he told me I had to take a "Tepid Bath!!!" the very thought of a tepid bath made me afraid to play the level again, but I managed and beat it my second time through.

Katamari Damacy (Second Entry)
I realized that I left some crucial information out of my first post. The lack of any auto save after levels and before quiting is something I find myself wishing was in more games. But now that I have come across such a feature, it is difficult to break old habits of expecting it to ask if I want to save before quiting. When I played this game for the first time, I forgot to save after completing the first 4 stars. So I had to restart from the second star. This is and the fact that it was 3 in the morning and my head was starting to hurt from lack of sleep are the main reasons I got bored when playing the fourth star for the second time. Also the game is just too overpowering to the senses. So much COLOR!!
My second session was a lot more interesting. What I previously thought were 'bonus' levels, turned out to be part of the main game play. These levels consisted of the creation of a constellation by rolling up specific objects such as crabs for cancer. I have not yet failed a level, but I am hoping the difficulty will increase at some point. I have finally figured out the controls although I still have some difficulty with the charge.
I also managed to complete a level to the king's satisfaction, and somehow created a comet. I'm not entirely sure how it happened, if anyone has any insight I would appreciate it. But for now I plan to finish Prince of Persia.

Katamari Damacy (First Entry)
I started this game pretty late last night, and found some of the controls confusing, I can't really get the charged spin to work. But I'm getting ahead of myself. This game is a Japanese game that doesn't really make any sense. The King of the Cosmos got piss drunk and destroyed all the stars. As his son it is your duty to make new stars by rolling the object around that picks up items smaller than it.
For each star, the king transports you to a house on Earth, where you roll around picking up tacks and coins, then and candy, and then cards, and then forks, then cats and dogs, until in some levels you can even pick up humans.
After the fourth star I got bored of the colorful graphics and repetitive songs. I'm not particularly fond of the controls, but I find the King's random tirades hilarious.
