I'm still playing Mario and still finding new secrets I missed the first time around. Those secrets give the game great replay value. I don't know if I enjoy the music so much because it's a throwback to my childhood or just because it is good, but either way, it's memorable, catchy, and somehow doesn't get on your nerves after extended game play. It's really hard to find fault in this particular title, as I said before it raised the bar for all games, period. It was enough to launch an entire super mario brothers franchise, everything from cartoons, to lunch boxes, t-shirts, action figures, key chains, wallets, ect. I think most anyone with a good sense of what a good game should be comprised of should give this title a shot.

Super Mario 3 is a great addition to the Super Mario series. Like all NES games the controls are very easy to pick up. Mario games have long been the games to judge all other platformers against, and for good reason. I think that the graphics look particularly good for a game from this era. The level design varies often enough to keep the game interesting and the gamer interested. Nintendo was very innovative and brought many new aspects of game play to the table such as a world map, suits (raccoon, frog, etc.), and mini games. Mario 3 surpassed everyones expectations and changed what we thought was possible with the video game medium. I'm going to continue playing.
