Finished!

I still don't get the bad rap for this game. Yes, I recognize and understand that it takes the tried and tested "formula" from God of War, but still. Playing this game was both enjoyable as well as, at times, wonderful. By wonderful I mean it created wonder (and amazement) - some of the locations and art are simply stunning. Creepy, but stunning.

That seems to be a rare experience in videogames nowadays. A sense of awe. Or, to put it differently, it seems to be something we don't appreciate as much? Are we perhaps all jaded by "epic" CGI?

whoa, the site is back. i've been trained to do these for so long, i've been writing in MS Word. what was it down for?

In a nutshell, forced server migration that required some backend updates and changes to the code. The forced migration (as in, shutdown) happened while I was super busy and I've only recently been able to get to it.

i defended my thesis on tuesday, and i've been writing in here for almost the entire duration of my phd. this reflective space you've set up has been essential for helping me think and write about the games i play, and for helping me write/talk about games in my thesis/presentations/publications/everyday life.

so i'd be real sad if the site disappeared! thanks for running it!
